Installation Guide: Rapid Shelves Brackets

Installing your Rapid Shelves brackets is quick and straightforward. Follow these simple steps to create durable, customizable shelving in your shed, garage, or workshop in minutes.

What You'll Need

- Rapid Shelves brackets
- Provided mounting screws
- Lumber for shelving
- Measuring tape
- Pencil
- Level or chalk line (recommended)
- Drill/screwdriver
- Saw (for cutting lumber)

Installation Steps

Step 1: Mark Your Shelf Height

- Decide where you want your shelf to be positioned
- Measure up from the floor to your desired shelf height
- Make a small mark on each stud where a bracket will be installed
- For a perfectly level shelf, use a level or chalk line to connect your marks

Step 2: Install the Brackets

- Position the bracket against the stud with the top of the bracket aligned with your mark
- Ensure the bracket is level and square to the wall
- Insert the provided screws through all holes that align with the stud
- Tighten securely with your drill or screwdriver
- Repeat for all brackets at your marked shelf height

Step 3: Prepare Your Shelving Board

- Measure the distance you want to span with your shelf
- Cut your lumber to the appropriate length
- Pro Tip: Position your board to stop at the middle of the dual holes on top of your end bracket—this allows for future expansion of your shelving system

Step 4: Secure the Shelf

- Place your cut lumber on top of the installed brackets
- From underneath, drive a small stitch screw through the top hole of each bracket into the underside of your shelf board
- This prevents the board from sliding off the brackets while allowing for easy removal if needed

Step 5: Add More Shelving (Optional)

- To extend your shelving, simply install another bracket at the same height
- Position a new board to connect with your existing shelf at the middle of the end bracket's dual holes
- Secure with stitch screws as in Step 4

Ready to Use!

That's it! Your new shelf is now installed and ready to hold up to 250 pounds of evenly distributed weight. Add additional shelves above or below by repeating these simple steps.

---

Remember:

- Always install brackets directly into wall studs
- Distribute weight evenly across your shelves
- Do not exceed the 250 pound weight rating
- Periodically check that all connections remain secure
